With an eye toward the future, Layton and his pirate train aboard Snowpiercer’s engine endeavour to carry on Melanie’s work by collecting important climate-related data. Wilford, managing Big Sally and the other thousand cars, works instead to maintain a subservient status quo for a single working class under his thumb.
