The decision to root Season 5’s storyline in the events of the current world impacted Beth’s hopes and dreams this week. Thanks to the ongoing COVID-related crisis and the social-distancing practiced as a result, Beth’s dance school unfortunately goes under in “The Music and the Mirror”. Poignant scenes juxtaposing the first time Beth was forced to give up her dream of dancing with her current situation brought additional gravity to how painful the experience must have been for her.

Paul and Caroline also discuss:
  • What the warm reconciliation between Kate and Rebecca might mean for Rebecca in the VERY near future.
  • Zoe and how she mucked around with Kevin’s head (and if this is actually a narrative red-herring)
