Atta boys (and girls) out there in This Is Us fandom! Another week into the fifth season and Dan Fogelman and company treat us to a rather lightweight, but enjoyable episode. Does that mean they’re getting ready for a gut-punch next week? Time will tell, but if Kate’s bombshell from her past is any indication, we might be in store for a trip down a dark alley, where a piece of crap named Mark is waiting for us with pretentious musical recommendations and bad hair very soon. In the podcast, we discuss if this painful and clamped down chapter from Kate’s history might unlock many problems she’s carried into her adult life. With Kevin, we discuss how wonderful it is that he learned perseverance in his professional life – but wonder why Madison wasn’t seen AT ALL or merit any part of the conversation this episode. And Randall – well, Randall doesn’t usually get to be the comic relief and this week provided and change of pace plus a deeper look at Malik.
