Welcome back to The I Know This Much Is True Podcast, the podcast where a rotating lineup of hosts discuss I Know This Much Is True, the six-part limited series from HBO.  On this episode, Caroline, Stef, Sheila and Mike are back to discuss Episode Four.

This week, the hosts discuss the emotional (and gruesome) flashbacks illustrating Thomas’s descent into his disease and his history of self-harm and in the present day, the ethics of Thomas’s hearing and how it played out.

With the seeming end of the Thomas subplot, we continue to discuss Dominick’s own physical downward spiral following his truck wreck incident, his painting accident at the Rood’s house and missing Thomas’ hearing. How far will Dominick fall?

Looking forward, the hosts rejoice at the return of Nedra and Grandpa Domenico’s manuscript – perhaps we’ll finally get the long awaited backstory on Dominick’s father’s true identity and pull back the curtain on all of the Birdsey family secrets?

Oh, and Mike posits a loopy (and most definitely wrong) theory on whether the aftermath was real or a morphine induced hallucination.

We hope you continue to join us as we explore I Know This Much Is True and the issues it raises about how we all get along in this world.  #HBO #IKnowThisMuchIsTrue
