Wendy Davis:
Wendy recently starred on OWN’s hit series, Love Is, as Wiser Nuri, her fourth series regular role. She is widely known for her portrayal of Colonel Joan Burton for seven seasons on Lifetime Television’s popular drama, Army Wives. She was nominated for several awards for her work on the show.
Wendy has been singled out for her stellar work many times. An example of this is when The Hollywood Reporter reviewed the Steven Spielberg ABC pilot, High Incident. Wendy booked a small guest-starring role on the show. The Hollywood Reporter wrote: “The large and strikingly good cast all make outstanding first impressions, and Wendy Davis is magnificent as a cop’s widow. ” Wendy was offered a series regular role on the ABC show.
Other recent credits include the sci-fi film, Encounter with Luke Hemsworth. Television shows include Bull, NCIS, Major Crimes, Criminal Minds, Designated Survivor, and a five-episode arc on Scandal, to name a few.
In 2010 Wendy founded ActingPros.com while shooting Army Wives on location in Charleston, South Carolina. After shooting her day’s work on Army Wives, Wendy taught a group of highly motivated trained local actors Audition and Close-Up classes in the studio cafeteria on the lot. Several of them transformed from amateurs to professional working film and television actors.
